Dear Owen, The rammed earth walls you have built for our home are, in one word – stunning! The excellence of your work stood out in several key areas; 1. The colour of the walls – You will recall our ambition/effort to achieve a colour that mirrored the sand dunes of Anderson Inlet. The effort you went to in building sample walls and working collaboratively with our architect in getting the colour “right” is for all to see in the final work. 2. The quality of the walls – Your construction system and the use of your steel forms gave us the high quality details we were after (such as the sharp edged corners). 3. The textured finish – You achieved our stringent requirements on finish quality. It is not just my view alone. As you know, the house construction is being featured on Grand Designs Australia. The show's host (Peter Maddison) commented last week onsite that the walls were amongst the best rammed earth walls he had seen built. Given that Peter is a professional architect, he is well placed to judge. Our architect, James Stockwell, is also very pleased with the quality of your work. So, in summary, a job well done!
